We're taking a look back at one of our past special editions: the constant reader edition of Stephen King's debut novel Carrie.
This exclusive edition was published in 2023, with a special arrangement: Stephen King fans would have one month in which to place their orders, and then limited-edition book boxes would be produced to serve these customers.
The edition arrived in a constant reader book box filled with unique, exclusive elements, including:
- An exclusive edition of Carrie, presented in a beautiful new design and to be printed only once.
- Four limited edition art prints, celebrating key quotes from the book.
- An enamel ‘Constant Reader’ pin badge on a presentation backing card.
- The transcript of a new Question & Answer session between Stephen King and his UK editor, only available as part of The Constant Reader Box.
The constant reader edition of Carrie was bound in red cloth with gold foil blocking, with sprayed black page edges and a contrasting red ribbon marker. It included printed colour endpapers and black and white illustrative motifs on three part titles.
It was a privilege to work with Stephen King on this gorgeous edition, and to bring these very special collector's items to fans.
