JOE LYCETT ART HOLE SPECIAL EDITION PRIZE DRAW: Terms and Conditions

  1. This Prize Draw is being organised by The Orion Publishing Group Limited (the ‘Publisher’), Carmelite House, 50 Victoria Embankment, London EC4Y 0DZ.
  1. This Prize Draw is for the chance to have your portrait painted by Joe Lycett from a photo you submit (the ‘Prize’).
  1. To enter the Prize Draw, you will need to purchase a special edition copy of Art Hole (ISBN 9781398724952) between 10.00am 15 April 2024 until 11.59pm 23 October 2024. A ‘cerulean ticket’ is enclosed in one special edition copy. If your copy has the cerulean ticket enclosed, you will be entitled to win the Prize. You will need to submit a photo of your special edition copy and the cerulean ticket to  marketing@orionbooks.co.uk. Please do not include any sensitive personal data with your email. No further purchase is necessary to enter the Prize Draw.
  1. The winner of the Prize Draw (the ‘Winner’) will be informed by email within 30 days of receipt of their email with the proof of purchase and proof of cerulean ticket in accordance with these Terms and Conditions by a member of the Publisher’s marketing team whose decision will be final. Once informed by email, the Winner must submit an appropriate head shot photograph in digital form to the email above no later than 10th January 2025. The portrait will be based on the submitted photo. The photo must be of sufficiently high quality to draw a portrait from. The Winner will also be required to confirm at the time of submitting the photo that they agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  1. The Winner will receive the Prize no later than 14 April 2025. The Prize will be delivered via courier and the Winner will need to provide the Publisher a UK based address for delivery.
  1. The Prize is for the Winner’s personal use and enjoyment only. The Winner must not resell the Prize under any circumstance.
  1. The Winner’s name and/or social media handle will be published on the Orion social media channels within 1 month of the Winner contacting the Publisher. The Winner’s name and/or social media handle may also be published on the Publisher’s website and social media accounts and Joe Lycett’s social media accounts and website.
  1. Entrants must be aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. The Prize Draw is not open to employees of the Publisher, their families, or to anyone professionally connected to the Prize Draw or Joe Lycett either themselves or through their families. The Prize will not be awarded to anyone who does not meet these entry criteria.
  1. The individual who receives the cerulean ticket in their special edition copy is required to submit their proof of purchase and proof of the cerulean ticket between 10.01am on 24 October 2024 and 11.59pm on 14 December 2024. If the proof of purchase and proof of the cerulean ticket is received outside the times and dates specified in Clause 4 above, and/or if any proof of purchase and proof of cerulean ticket does not meet the requirements of these Terms and Conditions or cannot be verified by the Publisher as genuine, you will not be eligible to claim the Prize.
  1. The Publisher is not responsible for contacting or responding to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries that are lost, misdirected, delayed or destroyed.
  1. The Publisher reserves the right to (i) cancel the Prize Draw; (ii) alter the details of the Prize and/or (iii) alter any other details of the Prize Draw without notice but the Publisher will try to avoid creating any undue disappointment. No cash alternative or other alternatives to the Prize will be provided.
  1. If the Winner is unable to accept their Prize or cannot be contacted, the Publisher reserves the right not to award the Prize. 
  1. Any personal data submitted by entrants, including their names and email addresses (the ‘Information’), will be used by the Publisher (who is the Data Controller) for the purposes of this Prize Draw, including without limitation for the purpose of running the Prize Draw and arranging and/or delivering the Prize, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with Publisher’s Privacy Notice which can be found here https://www.orionbooks.co.uk/landing-page/orion/privacy-notice-general-orion/ . The Information will be deleted within six months of delivery of the Prize. The Publisher will not share the Information with any third parties except for the purpose of arranging and/or delivering the Prize (which shall include sharing the photo with Joe Lycett and such members of his professional team as may be necessary for the purposes of creating and delivering the portrait to the Winner).
  1. By entering the Prize Draw, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  1. These Terms and Conditions and any disputes or claims (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England, whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
