2024 retrospective

As we prepare for what promises to be a great 2025, we are taking a moment to look back and celebrate the past twelve months.

2024 has been our biggest year since our store launched three years ago. We've sold out of old favourites including Alan Partridge: Big Beacon, The Landscape Photographer of the Year and The Sinister Booksellers of Bath, and we have also launched six new special editions. Read our retrospective below.

Spring

In April 2024, we kicked off our new titles of the year with the Deluxe Edition of Down With the System by Serj Tankian and the Collector’s Edition of Joe Lycett’s Art Hole.

The deluxe edition of Serj Tankian's memoir Down With The System is a limited print run of 250 copies. It is quarter bound, with a ruby red wibalin spine and black foiling. Down with the System also features an exclusive picture section, with images from Serj's early life and career, along with extracts from his private journals.

In Art HoleJoe Lycett flexes his artistic muscles to deliver irreverent  portraits of some of the world’s most influential (and infamous) individuals, from Liz Truss to Harry Styles. The Collector’s Edition is designed with a holographic foil cover and sprayed edges, and contains bonus memorabilia from Cerulean lens paper glasses to an exclusive print of Joe's very own self-portrait. It's honestly not like any book you'll have owned before.

Summer

In August, we followed our spring titles with the launch of a special edition from another music legend: John Grant.

John Grant: The Illustrated Lyrics spans John Grant's six critically-acclaimed albums, along with never-before-seen, personally taken photos. Limited to 250 copies, The Illustrated Lyrics Special Edition comes with an exclusive photographic print taken and signed by John Grant, as well as alternative cover artwork, a protective clamshell case, and unique photographic endpapers.
