  • The special edition of John Grant’s The Illustrated Lyrics stands upright on a white background. Its cover is quarter bound in textured cloth alongside abstract photographic artwork. Over the top, John Grant is written in elaborate, bold cursive. Next to and slightly behind the book, is the protective clamshell case it comes in. The case is a deep bluish-black, featuring white handwritten lyrics and illustrations round its edges, and with “John Grant” printed front and centre in an elaborate and bold minty green font.

About John Grant

John Grant is an American singer, musician, and songwriter who holds both American and Icelandic citizenship. He first became known as the co-founder, lead singer, pianist, and primary songwriter for The Czars. He has collaborated with musical and artistic acts from Elton John and Tracey Thorn to the BBC's Philharmonic Orchestra. He is the recipient of many awards and accolades which include: A Rough Trade Album of the Year (for Pale Green Ghosts) and a nomination for Best Solo Artist at the Q Awards. In 2014, he was named Man of the Year by Attitude Magazine.


The Illustrated Lyrics is released to coincide with his solo tour of the UK and Ireland in October 2024, and his forthcoming new album, The Art of the Lie.
