About John Grant

John Grant is an American singer, musician, and songwriter who holds both American and Icelandic citizenship. He first became known as the co-founder, lead singer, pianist, and primary songwriter for The Czars. He has collaborated with musical and artistic acts from Elton John and Tracey Thorn to the BBC's Philharmonic Orchestra. He is the recipient of many awards and accolades which include: A Rough Trade Album of the Year (for Pale Green Ghosts) and a nomination for Best Solo Artist at the Q Awards. In 2014, he was named Man of the Year by Attitude Magazine.
